August finally rolled around and it was time for Florida!

When we moved in, our house was covered in masonite siding (basically glorified plywood). Its a composite material that works well unless it gets wet, then it swells and turns into sawdust. We were getting holes in our siding at the nail pops and along the edges, so we decided to replace it with vinyl siding. I can't wait to see it when it's all done! We are getting new windows as well which will hopefully mean better utility bills and less rogue stink bugs.
Getting ready to travel. I was nervous to travel with this peanut, but she took the trip in stride and was amazing.
The kids and I DROVE the 12 hours to New Smyrna Beach! Since George was working and couldn't come, Amy volunteered to drive with me to help with the kids and switch off. She was a life-saver!
August 4th--Ready to go!
Grabbing some lunch at Chick-Fil-A along the way. The kids were all doing a wonderful job and kept themselves entertained with tablets, movies, coloring, playdoh and puzzles.
My amazing co-pilot. She was great with the kids, constantly turning around to get them snacks or pass out the next activity. I could not have done this without her!
We had to stop every 3 hours to feed this one, but it worked out perfectly. The kids were able to stretch, use the bathroom, get a snack, and we were off again!

Dinner at a Cracker Barrel and then it was onto our last 3-hour leg of the trip.
We finally made it around 1:30 a.m. Grandma of course was waiting up for us, as was Aunt Linda. Can't wait to get this party started!
