Last Wednesday, my brother Chad came down to visit for the day! It was so fun to have him here. This is the first time he's been to Charlottesville since we moved here. He only had a few hours, so we munched on homemade banana bread while we talked, drove around campus and then toured the Downtown Mall.

The boys has a great time on the man-powered merry-go-round.

Jude was thrilled. I think this was his first time riding it by himself.

After walking around for a bit, we got some gelato at Splendora. Super tasty!

I think this is one of the few pictures I have of Chad visiting.

Chad had to leave that afternoon to drive back to DC. He and my other brothers were flying down to Miami the next day to spend a week together at Chad's new apartment that is right on the beach. So jealous! It was nice of him to spend 4 hours in the car just to spend a few hours with us. I'm going to miss him so much now that he's so far away.

That evening while George manned the kiddies at home, I got to go out to dinner with several of my favorite girlfriends for Rachel and Stephanie's Birthday. We went to Guadalajara and had an awesome time talking and laughing. Among the topics of conversation: movies we've seen, our kids' newest adventures, vacations taken, what surprised us the most when we got married, and our husband's facial hair. Obviously it was a great time!
