Snow

Well, Lance left this past weekend to spend a week in sunny San Diego with his dad and cousins. While he's doing things like this:

...we've been enjoying things like this.

This weekend we had the first "real" snow of the season. It left only about an inch or two behind, but it was enough to get excited about.

Cole was oblivious...

...but Jude was insistent that we play in it.

 

So, I bundled him up, put on some boots and ventured out into the storm. This was his first real snow he's been able to play in, since last year's winter was a piddly one as well.

Jude loved it--for about 10 minutes. He didn't like his gloves on, so took them off about 2 minutes into playing. Play time ended with very cold little fingers and a couple small tears.

 

George made him some hot chocolate to warm him up.

He drank it all.

The weather is getting warmer again, so we were only able to play in the snow once before it started getting too wet and melting. Oh well. Hopefully we'll get at least one more good snow storm before Spring officially arrives. It was sad Lance missed it--he loves the snow!
