Decorating the tree this year was a bit of a challenge with this little monster helping:
He was fascinated from the beginning and every time he saw it he would say "Christmas tree? Christmas tree?"
He really liked laying under the tree and watching the lights.
When it came time to put the ornaments on the tree, it was a loosing battle. Jude and Lance did a great job selecting good places for each ornament, but we quickly realized the only safe place for them was way up high, out of Cole's reach.
He didn't quite understand that the ornaments were for looks only and not toys to play with.
He walked around knocking off all the low-hanging ones, just having a ball.
Lance... such a stinker!

Even though our tree is bare on the bottom half, it is still a beautiful sight full of memories and fun. There is just something magical about having a Christmas tree in the home. I love that it's the first thing the kids see when they wake up and the last lights to get turned off at night. I love that most of our ornaments are hand-made and that we have pictures of the kids from years past. I know it's cliche, but the song is right--Christmas really is the most magical time of the year.
