OBX--Day 1

Our OBX adventure started at Susie and Terry's beachhouse. Jen and Eric were there with Callie and Bryce, but the rest of the Glass family would be there later that night. We had a great breakfast of banana pancakes (shhh... don't tell Lance they were banana. I don't think he knew and he downed two of them) and then got ready to go to the beach! 

Susie and Terry's next door neighbor has 7 cats and this orange one loves to hang out with them. His name is "Two Toes". Lance thought he was pretty neat, especially since he actually let Lance pet him, something not many cats can handle because of Lance's exuberance. 

The beach was a lot of fun! The waves were very strong, though, even in the shallow water.

George took advantage of our time at the beach by getting in as much relaxation as possible.

After playing at the beach, we went with Jen and Eric to check in to the beach house they rented for the week. We settled in and then the boys, George and I went to "Jimmy's", a seafood buffet that offers all-you-can-eat crab legs! It's a Glass family tradition to go while they're in the Outer Banks, so since this was our one and only night, we decided to make the best of it.

Lance asks for crab all the time... he thought it was awesome he could eat as many legs as he wanted.

Jude thought it was fantastic, too. He ate most of that plate and kept asking for more.

George was in heaven.

Lance liked the "crab hand", too.

After dinner, we drove back to the beach house. George's family had finally made it and we spent a couple hours talking and having fun with them. The boys and I hadn't seen them in almost a month! It was nice to be together as a family again.
