Wednesday we hit up the Animal Kingdom! I was most excited about riding the new Avatar ride! The line was over 2 hours, even at the beginning of the day. We all stood in line for about 45 minutes just to get to the part where we could get the parent swap. Parent swap is seriously the neatest thing. Not only does the parent get to go later without waiting, but they get to take two kids with them, so some of the kids get to twice. Grandma came again! It was so wonderful to have extra hands, help, and fun with her!
It was COLD that morning!
Even though the line was suuuuper long, it wasn't too bad. We ate snacks, talked to Grandma, and got to see the neat Avatar world they built. Honestly, it was pretty breathtaking.
Once we got to the place where they could scan our bands and set up a time to come back for parent swap, Grandma took the three girls and George and I waited the rest of the time in line with the boys.
Okay, the wait was long but IT WAS WORTH IT. Seriously, this is my all-time favorite ride. I could ride it all day and still have a stupid grin plastered to my face. It's a immersion ride where it simulates riding banshee's in the Avatar world. It. Was. Amazing. Just thinking about it makes me want to go back.
While we were in line for the ride, the girls got some one-on-one time with Grandma. They saw the Lion King show...
...listened to music and danced...
...and walked through the jungle looking at animals.
Grandma is just the best!
We all waited in line for the second Avatar ride--a boat ride reminiscent of the first part of Splash Mountain, except there's no waterfall at the end. It was fine and really pretty, but a tad boring. You can skip this one if you're looking for a thrill.

Grandma ran back to ride the better Avatar ride again with Lance and Jude while George and I entertained the littles at Dinoland.
It's like a carnival in the middle of the park--they even have blacktop so it feels like it was set up in a parking lot like a homegrown carnival.

My other favorite ride was the Everest ride. It's a rollercoaster like Thunder Mountain, but they take it up a couple notches. Cole LOVED it!
We tried to do the Safari while we were there, but we waited too long and it was dark by the time we got to the actual ride. Oh well. We were all tired and grumpy by this point, but we made the best of it.
This poor kiddo was having a hard time. I'm not sure what was up, but we ended up giving him his medicine twice a day to help. Maybe it was the crowds since he has some pretty significant social anxiety. Either way, there were a few tough moments each day, but definitely enough positive ones to make it a good experience. I just wish I knew how to help him.

The park closed pretty early, around 8 or 9, which was perfect since tomorrow will be our biggest day yet! A full day at the Magic Kingdom, plus the Christmas party from 6- Midnight that we got special tickets for (only those who paid for the party can stay for that time).
We watched the Tree of Life come alive with stories and music before making our way back to the car and home to bed.
