We were told a couple days prior that Darnell would be in Ashburn on June 6th after attending a funeral for a family member of a good friend. Not to pass up a chance to see Darnell, I grabbed the kids from school a little early and we drove up to have dinner at Laura's house and see Darnell for an hour or two before coming home so the kids could attend their last day of school on the 7th.
Laura said that Darnell told her he'd have a buddy with him, so when he showed up with CHAD, we were all super surprised! Chad had told us that he wouldn't be able to come because of work, but he somehow managed to make it work. It was wonderful to see him and Darnell, even if it was just for a couple hours.

Even though it was only a couple hours, we had a great time eating dinner and hanging out with Chad and Darnell. California is way too far away.
