March was a fairly uneventful month for us. The weather has continued to get warmer and the bugs are not out yet so we've been spending more time outside. Love it!
I turned 32 on March 21st! To celebrate, the kids and I took a trip up to Ashburn while George worked. Lance was hanging out with Scott and Abbey so he stayed in Charlottesville also. Glenn and Tyler watched the kids for about 5 hours while Laura, Amy and I went out with my Mom. She took us all on a shopping spree (her treat!) and out to lunch. It was a fun time!
Later that afternoon we continued the shopping, this time with the kids. They were very good, helped by the special treat of being pushed around Costco by Aunt Amy. They were thrilled.

That night we came back to Mom's house and had cake.
The next day we drove back to Charlottesville, but before we left George's parents took us out to dinner for my Birthday too! The only thing that would have made it better was having George and Lance there to celebrate too.
Lance is excelling in his 3rd grade class and I'm pretty sure he does actually like school, even though he would say differently if you asked him. His class had "Market Day" in the end of March where each student had to bring in either a good or a service to sell to another class. They made posters and set up their booths. I thought the students all did a great job coming up with ideas and there were some very creative ideas.
Lance decided he wanted to bring in Molty and charge people 20 cents to hold him. His teacher agreed so when Market Day rolled around, Molty and I made our way to Lance's classroom.

You probably can't read his sign, but the little words say, "He's so cute you'll want to hold him twice!" "He doesn't bite!" "He's not poisonous!"
He made a killing! Most of the kids wanted to hold him and more than half came back and held him again.
We also brought in one of Molty's shed skin for the kids waiting to look at.
Lance walked away with about $13.00 just from kiddos paying to hold his snake. Molty for his part was a very good sport but was happy to be home and in his quiet terrarium again.
