Rides, rides, rides!

One of the awesome things about being a Virginia resident is that for the price of a single day pass to Busch Gardens, Virginia residents can by a summer pass and come back as many times as they want! Well, we definitely had to take full advantage of that and this past month we went again to BG with Callie, Bryce, Aunt Jen, Uncle Eric, Allen, Grandmom and Pop Pop. My kids had been talking about for at least a week before we went and they were not disappointed.

Cole thought riding the skyline with Pop Pop was great! He loved pointing out all the things he saw, but especially the "train! train!"

Busch Gardens is great because they try really hard to make it a fun experience for the whole family, even the littlest people. There were always fun rides for Cole and Jude to do while the bigger kids went on rollercoasters, and Cole even got to go on the log flume with us! He was super excited about the big "slide". :)

I think the Arcade might have taken the cake for the little boys this trip. They kept begging to go back.

Being pregnant, there was a limited number of rides I could go on, so it was fun to ride the little ones with Jude and Cole. They both LOVED the teacups which ended up being much more intense than I remembered them being. I didn't even spin the wheel in the middle and Cole fell completely over from the momentum. It was a fun ride!

 

While we waited for the big kids on another ride, Jude and Bryce got temporary tattoos.

Jude really wanted the one that covers your whole face, but not willing to pay that much money for something that's just going to wash off in a few hours, we settled for a glitter tattoo. 

 

He passed over the dragon, the pirate, the guitar and the swords and got...

...a red heart. He's tender, this one. :)

George, Lance, Allen and Pop Pop

The big kids decided to do the drop tower next, so we got these kiddos some snacks and Jen got them some bubble guns while we waited. Cole had finally given up and took a long nap in the stroller.

Pre-ride jitters.

Taking off. Lance and Callie no longer look excited, do they? They did great, though and thought it was tons of fun! They are so much braver than me. Give me a roller coaster any day, but you can keep your drop towers. No way.

And it wouldn't be a true day at the park without tons of treats, thanks to Grandmom. She made sure these kids' hands were full of goodies the whole day. 

We ended the day with tons of rain and a quick dinner at the local Cracker Barrel before driving the two hours home to Charlottesville, making it there a little before midnight. We love having family so close!
