That night after visiting Haul Over Canal and playing on the beach, we celebrated Grandma's 80th Birthday!
Our family all went in together to get her piano restored and tuned properly. She had been wanting to do it for a while.
And from all the Grandkids, we gave her a special book. Everyone contributed pictures, memories, and letters to Grandma for her to read. It turned out so well and Grandma loved it!
80 years old!
And of course Grandma had gifts of her own to give out. Each grandchild received a beautiful hand-made cribbage board, made from the wood of the old pine trees in Grandma's backyard. She told us that Grandpa had wanted to make them himself, but passed away before he got the chance, so she commissioned them to be made for us. Such a special gift, and one that I will treasure forever.
