Memorial Day Weekend

Whew! I'm way behind! Okay... let's see. Memorial Day Weekend.

We were up in Ashburn for Memorial Day (surprise!) and had a good time spending that time with family. Grandma Brewer had flown into town earlier which was a special treat.

These cousins sure enjoy playing together. It's fun now that they're older to see them interact.

Chad also came into town! This is the last time he got to see Jason before he left for his mission.

Aunt Linda, Kailey and Bethany also came, as did Jared Knadler, a friend from my High School days.

Grandma and Grandpa have this great little table for the kids that the boys love.

Family games:

Cole decided he was big enough to sit at the table instead of his high chair. He did a great job!

George was able to come up for a day which we spent with his family in Maryland. His cousin Wei and his wife Tangi bought a townhouse and had a house-warming party.

So much good food!

It was fun to be there with so much family!

The rest of the weekend was spent mostly hanging out.

River Monsters! Lance loves the Discovery shows.

On Memorial Day, we resurrected a family tradition and put flags and flowers on tombstones at our local cemetery.

This is the first year Lance could read the headstones.

How can you tell Virginia is a "Southern State"?

It was a neat experience to be there with the whole family and appreciate those who have given their lives in defense of our country and our freedom.

Right before Chad had to leave for the airport, we all went out to Zinga's, the frozen yogurt place.

It was a fun weekend! So glad we got to spend it with Chad and Grandma!
