Good-Bye Elder Allred!

Jason left for his mission June 10th, to report to the MTC on June 12th. The last few weekends he was in town we tried to spend as much time as possible up in Ashburn.

One Saturday we went with Amy, Stephen and Jason to a trampoline place in Sterling. Basically it's a warehouse sized playground for big kids that has trampolines wall to wall. (Lance was with his dad this weekend.)

These boys were excited to jump! (But not to wear the helmets.)

We jumped for half an hour and were all tired and sweaty by the end!

Later that night we went miniature golfing with Amy, Jason, Stephen, Mom and Glenn.

It was probably the best mini golf place I've ever been. It was themed as a jungle safari gone wrong and every hole had something fun that would pop out at you or shoot water at you or scare you in some way. Cole and Grandma watched the whole time (sorry, Mom) and Cole thought it was awesome.

Jude was convinced he knew how to hit the ball. He did a pretty good job, even if he did pick up his ball to put it in the hole. :)

Woah!

At this hole and huge gorilla head pops out at you from the bushes. No matter how many times they saw it pop out, this was their expression every time. 

We celebrated Glenn's 66th Birthday!

Woo Hoo! Happy Birthday, Grandpa!

We even went swimming! Missionaries aren't allowed to swim for the two years they're serving, so this was Jason's last time for a while.

Fun fun!

We also celebrated Jason's 19th Birthday!

Yes, you. He asked for chocolate pecan pies.

Lance had been begging for weeks to play Ticket to Ride with everyone, so Amy, Stephen and Jason all agreed to play.

It was a blast!

And of course the siblings hung out while Jason packed.

Jason got set apart Sunday, June 9th, but it was late and we had to get on the road so we didn't get to go. Sad.

Saying good-bye for two long years.

I sure love you, Jason! I know you're going to make a wonderful missionary and help spread the Gospel to the sweet people in Brazil. Good-bye, my BFF! See you again in two years.
