Pumpkin Patch with Grandma and GiGi

This year's trip to the Pumpkin Patch was special because my mom and Grandma were able to come! We met George and the kids there right after Ashley's Bridal Shower and managed to have a good time as always.

Don't let his "I'm an angsty teenager" face fool you. This kiddo had fun, too.

This goat really liked Lexi and kept coming back for pets.

I was super bummed because my camera "broke" (I found out later that I had pushed a button that made it not focus--a super simple fix but in the moment I thought my camera was busted), so I didn't get many pictures.

GiGi helping teach Jude to tie his shoes. Yes, at 8 years old Jude still can't tie his shoes. Parent fail!

I hope this isn't the last year we can do this with my Mom and Grandma. I love these amazing, lovely women. I sincerely don't know where I would be without them.

A Baptism and a Bridal Shower

Mason got baptized on October 19th! We were able to be there to celebrate! We are so proud of you, Mason! Thank you for setting such a great example to your siblings and cousins!

Mom and Glenn came up, as did Grandma Brewer. It almost feels like Mom still lives here sometimes--she's up here all the time. I'm so glad she takes the time and money to come visit so often. We miss her a lot.

We also got to celebrate Ashley on October 20th with a Bridal Shower! Her friends threw it for her and did an amazing job! The decorations were beautiful, the food was amazing, and the company was the best.

We are so happy to have Ashley joining the family in just a month!

Plugging along...

My view every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at noon when I pick up Lily from preschool. She is loving it and thriving in a structured environment. I love her teacher and the program. 

I'm plugging along at the gym. Photos are for my benefit so when I look back I can remember that I once was pretty fit. I'm still not where I want to be, but I'm doing what I can and trying to be consistent, so I'll take what I can get. 

This little merry-go-round is a favorite every time we go to the mall. Which is perfect because I can use it a leverage for good behavior. Mom win!

I know it's only October, but the Christmas toys are already on the shelves and the girls have noticed the uptick in selection. They're already asking to put things on their Christmas list.

They are OBSESSED with bath bombs!

While waiting for the bus, the girls take every opportunity to climb the tree on the corner. Lily can get too high for this mom's comfort, while Lexi is getting braver but contents herself with the lower branches.

Apparently even princesses climb trees.

Soccer is in full swing which means practices during the week and games on Saturdays. I have to admit I'm not a huge fan of the extra commitment, but Jude sure enjoys it. We signed Cole up for this season, but he told us in no uncertain terms that he was NOT going to play soccer because he doesn't like being hot and sweaty. It wasn't worth the fight, so we told him that was fine. Honestly, I'm glad we only have one in a sport this fall.

The girls and I got to come on a field trip with Lily's preschool to a local pumpkin patch. It was super cute and I really enjoyed getting to know some of the other moms better. It's an amazing group of women.

...and it NEVER ends. Never. There is always dirty clothes and will always be dirty clothes. When I'm dead, there will still be dirty clothes. And dishes. The dishes are never done.
