In August, we took our annual trip to Florida to celebrate Grandma Brewer's 80th Birthday!
George had to work, so I drove all five kiddos 12 hours down all by myself! It was quite the experience, but all in all, they did great!
Being the oldest can be rough sometimes.
We broke it up into two days of driving (a mistake, really, since no one slept at the hotel and I woke up more tired than when we stopped). Oh well.
We spent the night at Grandma Dori's new house! It's beautiful and we even got to catch a glimpse of the resident alligator that likes to sun itself in the backyard. Its a 4-foot long little guy, but we still didn't let the kids outside by themselves!
Before we checked into our condo, we ran by Grandma Brewer's house. I LOVE coming here--so many memories from my own childhood. My kids all think it's pretty neat, too. Between the knick knacks, pictures, and lizards, there is always something to look at and do.
Kailey and Bethany were there, too, along with Stephen!

Look familiar? The picture on the left is Wester Brewer, my Grandpa. The guy on the right? My cousin Taylor. I think I can see where Taylor gets his good looks from!
We finally were able to check into our condo and of course the first thing we did was head out to the beach!
Cole had such a good time floating in the current that he'd end up waaaaay up the shoreline. We had to "rescue" him several times.
