It's December!

It's December, so who should make his appearance? 

ZE!

The kids have been asking about our Elf since Thanksgiving and on December 1st, he finally showed up, peeking around the candles in our fireplace.  

I'm about 15 weeks along, so George and I snuck into the ER one day and tried to take a look to see if we could figure out what exactly we were having. I'm not 100% convinced, but if George is right, it looks like this baby will be evening things out for us!

We made a quick Ashburn visit one weekend and got to see Uncle Dave and Aunt Colleen! It's always nice when they come to visit.

Uncle Dave seems to love the babies. 

We were up in Ashburn to attend Baby Cassidy's baby blessing. Grandma Brewer, Mom and Glenn were there, too! We stopped by their hotel room to spend some time with them as well.

Grandma of course came prepared with oodles of fun bookmarks and stickers for the kids. 

I'll try and find a picture of the whole group who was at the blessing... After the blessing, we all went back to the Calderwoods for some lunch. 

It was a quick trip--we were in Ashburn less than 24 hours, but it was so nice to see Grandma and so much family! 

These girls are my buddies during the day while the boys are at school. They are becoming better friends and Lexi is Lily's little shadow--she has to do everything her big sister does.

This sweet boy's latest obsession is elves and this elf hat. He insisted on wearing it to school one day.

Poor Cassidy! My kiddos were all sick with cough/fever when we were visiting and I think we must have passed it to her. Since she is still less than 8 weeks old, she had to be admitted to the hospital and ended up staying for about 5 days as they ruled out meningitis and other various viruses. Laura stayed with her and ended up missing her family's trip to Great Wolf Lodge. Tyler took the boys and another friend instead. I felt so bad.

Thankfully, after several days, they got to come home and Cassidy fully recovered.

We are excited about snow! Hopefully we'll get a couple decent snowstorms this season, but until then, Lily is just excited to see even a few flakes.
