After the wedding and luncheon, George and I ran back to his parents' house to grab the kids and spend more time with all the family that was in town.

That night, I stayed at Mom's house and worked on my Mothers Day gifts into the wee hours of the morning.
Here's a sneak peek into the project. George got me a Silhouette machine as a Birthday/Mother's Day gift and I had to put it to good use.
Mother's Day morning dawned bright and early. George got up with the kids who all presented me with personal cards they each wrote or drew in. I LOVED it!
We then ran over to my mom's house where the guys were hard at work making an amazing breakfast. George made crepes, Tyler made breakfast sandwiches, and Darnell made chicken and waffles. This was probably the best breakfast I've ever had!
For each of the grandmas, I made them a silhouette of a family photo. I liked how they turned out!
I plan on making my mom one as well, but want her to choose the picture.

Not sure what this face is all about, but this it typical Lily. I never understood how volatile kids can be until we had Lily. She can go from ecstatic to devastated at the drop of a hat. I love her to pieces, but boy, this can wear me out.
While the guys and kids were downstairs, the girls got to hang out together swapping lotion and looking at pictures.
See those tiaras? They are gifts from Chad and Darnell for all the moms! I love it!

Tyler's dad came over, too! Pixie was out of town, so Kerry stopped by to enjoy the breakfast and company. I'm glad we got to see him--he's the nicest, most fun person.

We had spent so much time with my family since we had all our family in town, but we wanted to make sure we said Happy Mother's Day to George's family as well. First stop was Callie and Bryce's house where the kids had a great time playing in the "creek" in their backyard.
I made a picture for Mom, too! This is from over 30 years ago--It's George with his mom and her mom. I had the priviledge of meeting Ahma when I was in High School and was impressed by the kind, giving woman she was. George misses her every day and I totally understand why. She was an amazing woman and I have loved getting to know her a little bit better listening to her stories.
Poor George didn't get a picture with his mom before he had to leave to make it to work, so we used the next best thing:
If ever there was a "mini-me", it would be Jude. This kid is his dad through and through.

Happy Mother's Day to all the moms in my life! I don't know where I would be without the love, guidance, and example of each of you. Thank you for showing me how wonderful motherhood can be and for being the examples of the kind of person and mother I hope to be! I love you all!
